Description

Take control of your game and introduce yourself to the Command hybrids by Pinemeadow. The hybrid club is available in four lofts: 16, 19, 22 and 25 degrees. All Command hybrids feature 2 rear six gram weights designed to lower center of gravity and increase MOI (moment-of-inertia). By increasing MOI it prevents the clubhead from twisting at impact resulting in straighter shots.

Adjustable weight-port technology allows you to move both rear weights to configure the club to play any shot type. Whether it's a draw, fade or straight, expect to see longer shots, increased launch and improved accuracy. Use the hybrids direct off the tee, straight out of the rough or tight lies right off the fairway. The Command hybrid irons are the club to play. They are versatile, long and forgiving! Command the respect from your golf buddies and take your game to another level.

Here are some instructions for how to configure your club to match your shot type:

Fade: 6 gram weight in toe of club, 2 gram weight in heel
Draw: 2 gram weight in toe of club, 6 gram weight in heel
Straight: equal weights in both the heel and toe

Club comes installed with 2 six-gram weights. We'll also toss in 1 extra two-gram weight. Hybrid Headcovers are also available.

In order to provide the perfect custom fit for you, a half inch adjustment may be made on all length requests greater than an inch. Joe rated this product * * * * * on 06/28/08 Recently bought a Pinemeadow's Command 4 hybrid from a local retail outlet and I can't say enough good things about it. It is a nice looking club, sets up well and, most importantly, it performs! I will be purchasing the 3 hybrid very soon from the same retail outlet and then, after my vacation, I plan to order the 5 hybrid. I use Callaway 2004 Big Bertha irons and an Adams 460 cc Redline driver and Wilson putter. Howver, this club is becoming my favorite "go to" club in many situations. I highly recommend putting a couple or three in your bag if you want to replace your longer irons. Hits ball straight and lands softly.

Mark in NY rated this product * * * * * on 05/28/08 Update time. I've had some more quality time with these hybrids, including the #2. I kept my ZR1 3 wood in the bag and have made a concerted effort to alternate between them to see how they differed. The conclusion? I still get more distance with the 3 wood off the fairway, but the #2 hybrid is much better out of the rough. Most courses I play don't have extremely thick roughs, but they do cover the ball and the hybrid picks the ball very cleanly. Using the #2 hybrid instead of a mid iron gives longer distance for getting back onto the fairway and some progress towards the pin to boot. I slice less with the #2 hybrid, both off the fairway and out of the rough. It's harder to do a low-level punch shot out from beneath trees when using the hybrids (as opposed to a long iron) because with all that low-center-of-gravity mass going the ball naturally wants to loft--right into waiting branches. You really have to focus on leading with the hands to de-loft the club face. My overall conclusion? There's no real reason for having an iron longer than a 6i in your bag when you have these tools at your disposal--unless you are just an iron afficionado. I'm turning to the hybrids more and more, trying them in all sorts of situations, and they're fast becoming the mainstay of my kit. On the other hand I won't be giving up my 3 wood any time soon, even with the #2 hybrid in the bag. For long fairway shots in open territory (where that pesky slice isn't likely to be a problem) the 3 wood is still the better club for me. When I drive into the rough, or when in tight situations where I still want distance? Bring on the #2 hybrid! If you don't have hybrids yet, GET THEM, and the Command hybrids would be a great choice.

Daniel rated this product * * * * * on 05/20/08 I just bought a set of Taylormade R-7 draw irons and replaced the no. 4 and 5 irons with No. 3 and 5 Taylormade hybrids. Not having the no. 4 hybrid really left a big distance gap between the 3 and 5 hybrids. I heard about the Pine Meadow's products from a friend and I went to the store bought the no.4 Command hybrid for a test of the product and honestly, I don't have enough money left to buy Taylormade. The result was astounding, this Pine Meadow hybrid club performance is superb, feel is outstanding and the feedback is the best. I've tried Callaway, Mizuno, Cleveland, Cobra, Nike, Taylormade, Honma and Titleist but I never had the same benefit I am getting from this single club test. I am definitely switching to this brand given the time to save money. In addition, the weight of the club alone corrected my swing error. It acts like a swing trainer and at the same time a great playing club. Just swing easy and you can never go wrong. This is an amazing club and I should have heard it earlier. Thanks Pine Meadow for the great club and at a very very good price. You got me on your side.

Mark in NY rated this product * * * * * on 05/14/08 First things first: these clubs are not magic. If your swing is such that you have a hard time hitting fairway woods, you are not going to instantly be able to hit these all that much better. That being said ... I recently bought the 3, 4 and 5 Command hybrids, and have used them through three rounds instead of my ZR1 offset 5 wood and my Synchron II 7+ wood. My initial reaction is quite positive. Some examples? With the weights set to draw they definitely do help with my slice. I sometimes hit a wicked slice, even with ZR1 offset woods, and the tendency to do the same with the Command hybrids seems noticable less. The hybrids to seem more sensitive to pulled shots, though. That happens when I over-do the wrist turn trying to square the face, and results in a perfectly straight shot that goes well left of my aim point. During a round yesterday I sliced my drive severly, and the ball ended up in very deep and thick grass. The ball was buried, the grass was well over an inch over its top. I tried the 3 hybrid with the ball about an inch behind the ball at address, and the resulting shot was far better than I feared: very straight, and though the flight was short it was farther than I expected and I was nicely in the fairway with decent forward progress to show for the effort. I'm pleased enough with these clubs that I ordered the 2 hybrid and intend to use it in place of my ZR1 offset 3 wood to complete the set. Definitely recommend these clubs to any level of golfer, including hopeless hackers like myself!

Rick Gamiere rated this product * * * * * on 05/04/08 I bought a 3 hybrid because my new Mizuno irons did not have a 3 iron (which I have always used). I figured I would try a hybrid, but did not want to spend a lot of money in case I didn't like it. Shipping was very fast and the club came in excellent condition( well packaged to protect this new club). I took a trip down to Myrtle Beach and played about 6 differrent courses. This club is straight and long ( 200 yards on an average) from regardless of where you are at. I have to say it is probably the cheapest and most reliable club in the bag right now. I would consider buying more if I didn't pay so much for the new Mizunos!!!! Good job Pinemeadow!!!!
