Description

The Command series has always been highly regarded as a forgiving club featuring cutting edge weighting throughout the clubhead. The latest Command iron set is no different, featuring a weight distribution technology and wider sole. The wider then usual sole design combined with an under-cut cavity and rear weighting produce superior playability for all types of players.

What difference does the wide sole make? The wide sole prevents the club from digging into the turf ensuring more solid contact even on fat or thin shots. The lower center of gravity produces a higher launch angle.

How do the under-cut cavity and added weights in the rear of the club help? They dramatically increase the moment of inertia, reducing twisting and increasing accuracy, even on miss-hits. The weights also lower the center of gravity for optimal trajectory and feel.

Looking for a forgiving, game improving club with up-to-date technologies and maximum forgiveness, the Command irons are a perfect club for you. If you like the features of the irons the Command Q4 Titanium Driver and Command Q4 Fairway Woods are a perfect complement.

Chris rated this product * * on 06/30/08 This is an update to my review posted on 6/18/08. The black piece of plastic that is glued to the top of the hosel have started coming undone and I have to re-glue them all back on (this is the piece that is supposed to keep water out of the inside of the hosel). At first this started with just a couple of the clubs, but now all of them are coming off. I've had these clubs for less then a year. Needless to say, the workmanship is less then impressive. It just goes to show that you get what you pay for.
Preston Hale responds with I am sorry this happened -- it shouldn't. The clubs are under warranty and we are willing to repair the clubs at no cost to you. Please contact us and we'll take care of you. 1.800.309.6878

MattyBronx rated this product * * * * * on 06/27/08 First off, only you can make you a better golfer. Good clubs only make it easier for you to work all the kinks out of your game. That said, these irons are great. They are very forgiving of miss-hits. I've only had them for a few weeks and played just two rounds with them so far. While my scores haven't noticeably improved, my confidence in my iron play has. These irons (finally) replaced a crappy starter set I've had for about 15 years and they feel about 150% better upon impact. An you just can't beat the price. Now I just have to replace my crappy starter woods with a Pinemeadow driver and maybe a hybrid.

Ced rated this product * * * * * on 06/24/08 I purchased my set of Command Q irons about 2 months ago. At first I had to get used to the shorter length of the clubs. Now I love them, I am hitting my irons much better than ever. I also purchased a hybird which I am also in love with. I leave my 3 wood at home now. I have been singing the praises of Pine Meadow since my purchase. This will not be my last purchase from them. I am now enjoying the game of golf looking forward to my handicap coming down. I now have to get my driver sized down a club which I did not purchased from PineMeadow.

Matt rated this product * * * * * on 06/22/08 I got these clubs right at a year ago. I noticed the dif the first time I played. 3 weeks ago I played and made it a point to check the club face more often through the round. I noticed that good shot, not perfect shots, were off center on the club face. If the same shot were hit with the Clev TA5s I had the shot would have been lost right. But these clubs helped correct the miss hit. They are awesome. I love playing these clubs vs friends with big dollar clubs and play right along with them. I saved money on the clubs and I have saved money on the number of balls used per round. I love the game. The game does not always love me back. But these clubs have made it a better love/less love affair.

steve rated this product * * * * on 06/19/08 I bought the set for couple weeks and like the clubs in general. However, I have the same problem with my #6 iron as described by Chris on his 6/18/08 review. The hitting sound of this club is little strange though its performance is fine. It's not a solid sound like others but it sounds or feels (sometime, but other clubs never) like some "bell effect" or "door wind chime". I'm wondering if there is a hollow in the club head. I have ordered another #6 iron and hope that the new one will be OK.
