Description

The Excel Mid Launch Plus irons are the next generation of ultra forgiving irons from Pinemeadow Golf. The irons are designed with precision offsets for greater forgiveness and refined with a rounded toe and a large "notched cavity". These features allow players to gain control of the iron making it easier to shape shots and improve iron play.

The irons are still considered to be forgiving and like every model in the Excel series they are designed for great feel, weight, and reduced twist. The perimeter weighting system on the club is designed to move the weight where its needed the most creating a club head that provides maximum forgiveness throughout the entire club face. From the golf maven to the newcomer, expect to feel a pure shot on every swing with these versatile irons as they help improve your game.

If you like the features the Excel irons the Pinemeadow Excel Ti Driver and Pinemeadow Excel Woods are a perfect complement.

Andy C. rated this product * * * on 06/29/09 Like many of you reading this I was not sure how much I would enjoy the game of golf and did not want to spend a small fortune on clubs to start. I began the search and settled on the mid-launch clubs. Here we are 2 years later (.. about 80 rounds) and I love the game. I was used the money saved on clubs to get lessons and these clubs have taken me from the 100's to a solid 10 handicap. I too had the grommet come lose on half the clubs, I also have had club heads come loose. For those of you playing this club if the centerline of the grip is not in place check the club head.... I have had 3 spin completely and it was not the grip!!!. Time to move on to a tour offset and new sticks but, for the money I was not disappointed in the clubs performance or playability. In other words, good product, great price, less then expected durability. Overall would recommend them and you get what you pay for!

Ted S. rated this product * * * on 06/27/09 This is my 3rd season playing with these clubs. Overall, I'm satisfied, however, I have one suggestion. The black ring at the end of the hosel has come loose on about 1/2 of my clubs. I keep gluing them back in place. The ring has broken off on one club. A loose or missing ring does not affect the preformance, just the appearance. I suggest that Pinemeadow redesign the clubs, eliminating the black rings. They will no longer look exactly like the Callaways. So what !!!!

MD rated this product * * * * * on 06/03/09 I bought a set of the mid launch 5-pw and 2,3,4 hybrids about 5 years ago. I have hit many thousands of balls with these and they still look fantanstic. Very solid feel, excellent forgiveness. I would recommend a grip upgrade for new buyers. These clubs have taken me from the 100s to a solid mid 80s shooter. I would highly recommend them.

J.C. rated this product * * * on 03/24/09 After reading Tim L. review, I had to post some comments since I have had the same problems. I think that the clubs provide great performance for the price, but longevity is an issue. Like Tim, I also had the black rings at the top of the club head come loose and/or break off altogehter. Soon after, 3 of my club heads were loose (one flew off). In the past I have been quick to recommend Pinemeadow, but now I think that I would possibly reconsider if someone wants a set that will last.

brady rated this product * * * * * on 03/12/09 I purchased these 2 yrs ago in order to improve my golf game and do better in high school tourneys. like Tim L said the black ring came off of mine and while at a spearfish tourney my 8 iron head snapped off where it connects to the shaft, however i had graphite shafts. But if ur looking for cheap irons with amazing trajectory, consistency, length, and still get the ability to put spin on the ball easier, go with pinemeadow. I have about a +4 handicap and i love these clubs. I was thinking bout buying the new i-brids but i think im just gonna go with another pinemeadow set. THANKS PINEMEADOW!!!!
