Description

Also known as a gap wedge, this ZR1 50 degree Utility wedge (U-Wedge) is a great way to swing for the distances that the your PW and SW can't make. This nicely balanced U-Wedge cuts easily through the rough and the tight lies where you need it most. The ZR1 irons provide a deep cavity and perimeter weighting to provide precision and forgiveness. For many golfers this club is known as the perfect 70-100 yard wedge.

  • Built standard with high quality Pinemeadow steel shaft from Apollo®, a 125 gram shaft with a low to mid kick point. Also available with our standard low-torque Pinemeadow LIMITED graphite shaft. For only $7.50 per shaft.

Taylor rated this product * * * * * on 01/16/09 Another great purchase from Pinemeadow. Played 18 and found the missing club to fill in the Gap between my Sand wedge and PW. Great Product, and a great Value Thanks again

J rated this product * * * * * on 08/21/08 Excellent club, perfect "Gap" wedge for that distance somewhere between your Sand Wedge and Pitch Wedge. I usually hit my SW about 95-100 and my PW about 115-120, so this was the perfect wedge for those shots at 100-110 yards out from the green. Very consistent club and great quality.

Mark in NY rated this product * * * * * on 05/27/08 It's probably a no-brainer, given this is Pinemeadow's only 50-degree wedge, but this is one useful club to have around. For close-in work, at least to me, my sand wedge has too much "bounce" to be reliable and my 47-degree PW has just that much extra distance I don't need. That's why this one's a "gap wedge," right? This is fast becoming my favorite wedge out of the grass and anywhere inside of 50 yards.
