Bob Altieri rated this product on 08/21/08 What an incredible set of clubs. The grip is terrific, the shaft is perfect and the strike is magnificent. Good company to dea lwith...very good company to deal with. Great value, good product and fast inexpensive delivery. I'm already thinking about my next order.
Jason Rutter rated this product on 08/14/08 Update on Pinemeadow Excel Strong Hybrid clubs After well over two thousand balls hit with these clubs, I'm still convinced these Excel Hybrid's may be the best buy out there. Being 68 years old, I don't have the swing speed the younger golfers have, but I'm still getting what I consider acceptable distance with these clubs. 130 yards with number 6, 140 yards with number 5, and 150 yards with number 4. And they're always on the fairway unless I mess up my setup. The number 2 and 3 clubs are a bit more difficult to hit, so I'm not using them yet as I'm new at this golf game, but my more experienced younger brother can drop the ball at 200 yards with the number 2. He always was a long ball hitter, but he had control problems which he eliminated by purchasing the same set of Excel Hybrid's I did. Hitting the ball off grass with these clubs is a bit more of a challenge for me, as you must hit down on the ball just like an iron. But when I get it right, they go. Still lots to learn, but based on what I'm seeing other golfers do, I'm doing okay thanks to these Excel Hybrids. Prior to ordering these clubs, I was using a set of King Cobra irons which didn't work for me as I was all over the place. No more, as I'm hitting the ball straight down the fairway. Considered purchasing a wood from Pinemeadow, and still may, but right now I'm not convinced I need a wood. In any event, I'm still amazed that I was able to purchase a complete set of high quality hybrid clubs with graphite shafts and upgraded grips for less than $350 when a branded set of comparable clubs would likely have cost me about $1800. That $1400 savings will pay for a lot of golf. No doubt in my mind where I'll purchase any additional clubs if I ever need them.
Mike Lim rated this product on 08/10/08 Purchased a 3H, overall feel is good. Solid contact and straight flight. Am satify with it, great Hybrid at a great price.
Bruceh rated this product on 08/05/08 I received my clubs on time. I like the quality of workmanship and the looks of my clubs. I purchased a 5 and6 hybrid Excel strong, both clubs came from the pre-owned section. I have played with both clubs about three rounds, and hit them high and striaght. I have purchased clubs from pinemeadow before and have always been satisfied with them. Great club at a great price.
Jason Rutter rated this product on 08/05/08 My complete set (2-PW) of Pinemeadow Excel Strong Hybrids arrived one week ago today, and they were on the golf course four hours after arrival. Although I was very pleased with them, I wanted to wait until I had more use with them before writing a review, and now after three golf games and four trips to the driving range I am absolutely convinced this is the best set of hybrid golf clubs I could have purchased for the money. I opted for the Lampkin Arthritic Grip, and I like this grip very much. I'd recommend these hybrid clubs to anyone who's thinking along the hybrid line. While hybrids won't cure the ills of incorrect setups and/or swings, they are considerably easier to hit than the more conventional clubs. At least for me. As far as Pinemeadow goes, they are top-notch all the way. No pressure... just helpful.
